Got a cam lobe go flat, and was pondering what to do next. Before jumping in with a solid roller, I decided to boroscope the cylinders. Looks like the motor was probably rebuilt. Has stock .020" head gaskets, but the pistons are completely flat except for the forward notch. No valve reliefs...
This cam lasted two years, daily driver. Motor looks like a '70 Challenger 383, so 9.5:1 compression. Has headers, Edelbrock Performer RPM, Holley Sniper, TKX, and 3.54 gears. I read so much conflicting info on cams, I don't know what to believe. Thinking about a Comp XR274R 274/280...
