This is a weird one for me. Overhauled the brakes on my 66 this spring and bought a reproduction master cylinder since the bowl in the old one was pretty rusty. The new one had a tapped port in the boss on the bottom with a plug in it that the old one didn’t have. The boss was there but no...
This pretty little Satellite is on BaT and caught my attention. The trunk sides both have a strange bracket on the quarter panel walls right behind the wheel housings. Neither my 66 Satellite or my 67 GTX have anything like them. Any idea why this car has them? Just curious.
Made a dumb error and didn’t get the wheel cylinders rod connected to the shoe somehow. The piston over extended and leaked some DOT5 on the shoes. Of course the internet has 50% saying it can be cleaned with brake cleaner and 50% saying it can’t.
So those that do a lot of brake work, what...
I’ve seen 6-32 and 10-24. I have doubts about 10-24 but it sounds like there could have been a change between early and late Carter AFBs. But I’m not sure what’s considered early.
Has anyone installed the 440 Source extra thick steel oil pan with a windage tray and studs? I have one on order and I’m wondering if my current 1.3” long studs will be long enough? Most of mine barely have full thread engagement on the nuts now with 2 metal reinforced gaskets and a windage...
Looking for around 4 of the threaded stud and nut sets used to secure the trunk panel trim on a Satellite or Belvedere II in 1966 to replace a few of mine that are pretty far gone.
Thank
I spent most of the winter working on my 66 Satellite - swapping in power steering, adding Hurst shift rods to the Brewers replica Hurst shifter, adjusted the front brakes, and fixing a small, shallow dent in the oil pan - forgot the one hold down bolt on the left Hemi motor mount while trying...
I picked up a used trunk panel several years ago that was in fair condition but had one dented area along the top that I mostly massaged out some tim ago. I decided to finally get around to finishing it. First thing was to strip the anodizing use lye crystals and a dipping tray an air...
I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get the front of my 66 Sat up without burying the adjuster screws so finally just bought a new set from PST and put them in today. Found my answer I guess.
Old ones are 3-1/2” and new ones are 4 “ long. So what was original?
I got the car sitting good...
Spring cleaning. This was out of a 67 Plymouth and I’m not sure just what other years it may have been used. Not perfect, shine somewhat dulled, but pretty nice condition overall. No lens. Just to keep it out of the trash and pass it on to someone who can use it, I’m asking for $5 and...

Putting new shoes on a 67 GTX that I put shoes on 20+ years ago. Wanting to make sure I have the adjusters mounted correctly and didn’t screw it up 20 years ago.
I believe the adjusters on the front end have the star adjuster towards the rear as this photo I found on the Internet shows and...
Ordered something from Moparmall on the 25th and received a proper confirmation of order from them on the 26th and also a paid invoice from Atlas Obsolete Motor Parts. Since then I’ve heard nothing. Sent an inquiry Monday to both but so far no response. Sent a follow-up today.
Has anyone...
I’m changing out wheel cylinders on my 66 as part of an effort to switch brake fluid types. Although the old DOT3/4 had gone pretty bad the first wheel cylinder I removed looked pretty good inside. I would like to clean them up and rebuild for spares as I have a 66 and 67, both with all 11”...
What say you guys on this? I’ve just finished flushing my system with denatured alcohol and getting ready to install new wheel cylinders. I have a bench bleeding set up that I can out on it (MC is on the car - will have to pull the line off - stroke with pedal). It’s a 66 with a single pot...
