I have the passon hemi overdrive a833. I run 4.30 gears and 28" tires so I can't really compare with less gear.
I just finished the install of a t56 and big block but don't have any miles on it as the weather has been crappy.

I run nitto 555r because at the time they had a wet weather rating.
Lots of traction tests with many miles and about 5 summers on them.
A friend had the mt tires and thought they were slippery than Vaseline and switched to nitto.
But I run 325/50/15 so not sure if they make your size.
I quietly used a summit racing code from gtxjohn and got some stuff for the v8 dakota. Hopefully the wife don't see it come.
I will make it up to her with a Xmas present I have not found yet ;-)
I have the bolt busting/annihilation m18 fuel 1/2 drive milwaukee for heavy duty nut busting.
Only one thing that it would not bust loose, but I was not the operator. It was a seized on nut that If I remember correctly was on the gangs of the chisel plow.

I have been told second gen started when they changed to a rounded front for v8
Gen 3 is the 97 to 04
Gen 4 is 05 to finish
But it depends how you think.
I am in the process of stuffing a w5 headed 340 stroker motor and an a833 into a 96 dakota.
Luckily I found swap mounts and long tube headers.

I used 440 source with no issues. Maybe a different machine shop?

I redid some aluminum rims that everyone said were too far gone. Now people offer to buy them off me.
Also did some steel rims that I re-hooped.

If I listened to the internet then I could not have afforded alot of things. Better stop washing car with city water because of chlorine.
Someone else strips the chrome plating off to rechrome things aka bumpers etc. So why couldn't I?

First attempt is soaking in bleach. I used chlorine/shock from a pool. (Same as bleach)
