Thank you too all who helped I really appreciate your time. I will pull the transmission and put in the 727 and then rebuild the 904 as a "nice" learning experience.

904 torqueflite won't move in low

Now that sounds like what I am dealing with. What would cause the clutch to jam? Is there a way to check it and unjam it? What hard parts failure might cause this? Thanks, I really appreciate your time and input.

904 torqueflite won't move in low

Do you have any ideas what is going on in the transmission? Even if I swap out the transmission I would want to try to fix the 904. Thanks for all your help.

904 torqueflite won't move in low

I do have reverse, I adjusted the bands per spec and they looked ok. I do have a 727 from a 1976 dodge truck and it appears to be in decent shape. The filter didn't look to bad and there wasn't too much in the pan

904 torqueflite won't move in low

How to clone a 72 roadrunner

I cloned my "Roadrunner" from a satellite sebring plus It now has a mildly built 360, 323 sure grip in an 8 3/4 housing (out of a 71 c body). The only thing I have real trouble with is the correct grill as they are very spendy and hard to find. The spoilers are not correct for the year but like...

    C body 8 3/4 rear end into a B body

I hope it helps. I actually like the fact that it pushed the tires out a bit, I could still fit 295s with no problem. The early 70s c bodies will bolt in with not issue except, I believe the e brake cable on the c body is longer so you will want to swap it out for a shorter one. You can still...

    C body 8 3/4 rear end into a B body

I have a 1972 Roadrunner and was going to install an 8 3/4 out of a 1968 sport fury (c body). When I looked online I saw the specs that the perches were the same too. So, I bought the rearend got it home and all cleaned up. When I went to install it the perches were approx. 1" too narrow. If I...

    The "Youth" Of This Generation

my 18 year old nephew has a /6 duster and we have been working on fixing it up. When he drives around he gets thumbs up from other young guys and a lot of them are driving the "honda" type cars. I think it comes down to what is cheap and available for most of them. I got my license in 1983 the...
