    Help me pick a distributor!

To those of you running the Progression Ignition unit. Did you have to trim the head, if so, how much. Can a die grinder do it or is it a machine shop trim? Edit: I'm running a 400 B-block if it makes any difference.

Lean burn Thermoquad differences from non-lean burn

Thank you. I didn't want to waste time or $$ on my Leanburn TQ if it is going to be a pain. I'll just keep it in the box on the shelf.

Lean burn Thermoquad differences from non-lean burn

Are there any differences between the two Thermoquads? ( Lean burn to non- lean burn) Most cars that the lean burn system has been removed, including mine, have an aftermarket carb on it. I have been told that the lean burn carbs have extra features for the lean burn system. Truth or rumor. TIA

    1979 Chrysler 300 tach wiring

Your gas gauge is doing the same as mine did with the bad float. My speedo cable was loose at the cruse control as well.

    1979 Chrysler 300 tach wiring

X2 on the fuel gauge. Mine quit working all together, as I watched it slowly go from full to empty. I ended up getting a pin hole in the float, replaced the float with another brass one and the gauge is working correctly. One thing I will add in my research is that the solid plastic floats do...

    1979 Chrysler 300 tach wiring

Like the wheels. On the speedo bouncing around, check to make sure the speedo cable is tight on both ends. My 77 Cordoba was doing this and it was loose in the engine compartment, tightened it up and no more bounce.

    Let's See Your Late B-Body

I am going to have to look at my 77 Cordoba sales brochure as I'm sure there was a 7 1/4 axle on it. But I could be wrong and it won't be the first time.

Melting the potting material out of ECUs

Your all correct. I have a issue where the potting is getting hot and running down my firewall. There was no potting on the firewall until I replaced the alternator. The car has melted the potting out of 2 ECUs, so something is making it melt. All wiring and components have not been changed...

Melting the potting material out of ECUs

I'll make this quick. Bought my 1977 Cordoba in 1996 and shortly after alternator quit. Replaced it with one from an auto parts store. Only driven the car off and on ~300 miles in last 25 years and have melted the black potting out of the back of two ECUs. The first was a factory Lean burn...
