I totally agree! too many of these cars have been cloned or restomoded (if thats even a word) and there are not very many left in their original condition. The 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus was defined by its two tone and stainless trim. Nothing else came close.
BTW, I think your front...
I am looking for a 1972 hood release cable or the under dash mounting bracket if it can be replaced separately. The part number for the cable is either 3695565 or 3670388 and has the horizontal handle and a loop in the cable on the under hood end.
Or, if possible, instructions on how to fix the...
there are also different side markers on the 71 vs. 72. 71 has inset version while 72 versions stick out and are more easily damaged. one reason why some do not like the 72s. but whats unique about the 72 Sebring Satelite Plus that u don’t see on the 71 is the trim that seperates the two tone...
Has anyone mentioned how the qtr window assemblies in the 1972 Plymouth Sebring satellites were way over engineered or that the amount of grease used on the window regulators was really, very abundant?
I’ve been working on the door and quarter window regulators which were quite dry. In some places, there was obscene amount of dried grease and in the slide area, there was no grease at all. I don’t believe these received any fresh grease since the day the car was born.
A prior owner had the transmission replaced in my 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus in October 1998 and I’m asking for a little help locating it. I believe it might be in or around Mesa Arizona. The replacement took place at Cottman Transmission (now an Aamco). The VIN ends in 193757. I’m...
Welcome aboard! We had a 57 Plymouth Belvedere. It was my mom’s daily driver and boy did we get teased. Our school mates gave it the moniker of “The Kropp mobile” and joked about flying away in it since it had such big tail fins. Alas, my older brother stole it and drove it up a telephone...
Welcome! The State of CA used to have these in their fleet. if there are indications that it was originally pained orange, it might be an old fleet vehicle. My dad worked for the State of CA and would occasionally drive one home and would drive us to school and the like. We sat on the floor...
Sue was born with front disc brakes and she stops quite a bit better than my first 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus which had drums all around and I had to stand on the brake pedal to get her to stop.
Sue was also born with a white interior & one of the first thing I replaced was seat covers. I...
Update on inner fender: It may not of taken the welder any more that 30 seconds and cost all of $40. New splash shields are now installed. I also took pictures of all of my door gaps which I’m also including. The only issue seems to be the drivers door, but it looks like it can be adjusted.
Our family always named our cars. My first 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus was named “Molly” by my dad. She was brown and I wish I still had her. I named my spouses Chevy Volt “Sparky”. Why not? My 2012 Acura MDX is “D.W. the Picky Eater" (from PBS show “Arthur”) because she has to have...
