There was a guy on here parting a 68 satellite. They should be the same, and that's probably your best bet to get a good used one. Not a lot of demand for them so most parts cars should still have them.
This^ Definitely reinstall and check fit. But if youre going with a color change then everything that can come off should before spraying. I always have the fenders, doors, hood, trunk, and any other removable body parts that need painted (quarter panel extensions, etc.) removed so that you get...
The only time there is an inspection involved in KY is when you are applying for a title, either because yours is from out of state or because you don't have one. If you are trying to get a rebuilt title than the inspection is very intense with them checking the functionality of any and all...
Thanks for the tip. I can rebuild it myself but don't want to unless I have to. Was mainly hoping to find someone with a good one that they had changed for ratio purposes, not because it was whining or the like.
Is this a rebuild or restoration project. Is the tank original. If it sat for a while before being rebuilt as mine did. It could have mouse wadding in the tank. That is only if it sat empty and with the cap off though. Even mice won't go into a tank with old gas in it! Just an outside the box...

I know this car. It's beat to hell and back. The passenger quarter looks like its been beaten with a bag of pennies. Rust abundant, rough interior, rougher running! Steer clear. It would be daily driver quality if it could be driven daily but I wouldn't trust it to go around the block. Owner...
You are right on both cases, I double checked the biuld date this morning and it is a 6 not an 8 so a June production, and my wife has dutifully reminded me that I have yellow/blue color blindness and that my engine is most definately turquoise!
My wife is never happy about the time I spend on my car, but she know what it means to me so she keeps quiet about it. She knows I don't want sit with her and watch Dance Moms or anything else that comes on Lifetime, so its a trade off. Give and take. That is the only way a relationship works...
get a trim removal tool from harbor freight. Cheap and will help you not to rip the clips out of the panel itself. the clips are metal so theyre pretty tough. the panel on the other hand is compressed partical board so it is not.
The filter on it is garbage so make sure you either have a good one on the compressor or make sure you drain any water thats in the compressor before blasting. Otherwise it has a nasty habit building up lumps in the media, and clogging the valves/ hoses. Also if you intend to use it for soda...
You may also want to make sure you have good seals around the radiator. A missing hood to rad seal will allow air to flow right past the radiator no matter how good the radiator is.
So this is about the response I figured I'd get. Those who like the color, or are purest, think go with yellow. Those who don't like the color or don't mind modifications to original so long as its on the road say blue. I myself am a purest, so the car will most likely end up yellow. I found...
