    Smokin' Rear Brakes

My thoughts are parking brake CABLE as well especially if, as you mentioned, you had to manually lift the pedal. Disconnect the cable at the tie bar under the floorpan then pull the cable where it connects to the lever inside the drum. Does it move easily? If not, lubricate or replace the...

    Daytime running lights.

Daytime running lights also operated at a lower intensity than direct-fed headlights. DRT systems did NOT also turn on the tail lights at the same time so you'd see cars driving down the interstate with dim headlights and no tail lights because the driver forgot to turn on the headlights...

    Lights Dim at Idle

I'd vote for diodes as well. 90% of the alternator low output problems I've encountered in the last 50-plus years have been diode issues.

Thanks. Another cutting lube I use is Blair's lube stick for their Rota-Broach cutters. I need it because I have 5 sets of various sized cutters that I use regularly.

    Transmission Carnage

Check the end play on the cluster gear. The front thrust washer is probably missing or worn and the cluster was moving forward and you chipped a tooth. The chip, then, got mixed up between another tooth and the trans progressively chewed up the rest of the gear teeth. Seen it happen before...

Resto Rick undercoating or U-Pol Raptor liner?

Factory undercoating did NOT cover the entire underside of the vehicle. The factory undercoating was applied by two floor techs, one on each side of the raised body as it moved down the conveyor system. Later automated sprayers did not move around, either. They stayed in one place and the...

    Ok electric gurus…. No horn!

The relay doesn't need to be grounded. The horn button is the only ground source needed. The horns, on the other hand, DO need to be grounded.

    How does your mopar hibernate?

Worst thing you can do. Now you've filled your exhaust system with moisture that's going to condense and prematurely rot out your exhaust system. If you insist on starting your vehicle every few weeks or so, take it out and drive it far enough to purge the condensation from your exhaust system.
