    Fender Tag Replacement

My GTX had no fender tag when I got it, and it is very liberating!!! Freedom to build the car how you want and no one can say it's "wrong"! I'm sure all repo tags will look "wrong", though.

I have no idea what im doing :)

Is your dad willing to hand the title over? That's a big step and how I got my car. Lots of hand written letters....

    1970 black GTX

I live in Fargo, ND and I used to see a blue one around town. Haven't seen it for probably 20 years. Mine is the only other '70 GTX I've seen in the state.

    Interior touch ups

I heard the chrome model paint from Revell is a pretty close match to real chrome.

A couple big decisions on my road runner restoration - help me decide.

I worked in a detail shop for a while and white interiors suck!! Not many cars had them, but the boats, what a nightmare! I'm also sticking with 4 drums and no booster on my car.

    Rebirth of my 1970 GTX!

I had to put the brakes on the tranny for a bit to get the K-frame painted. In my usual style I did it twice! I used Eastwood's epoxy primer and 2K ceramic chassis black. The first result looked like I sprinkled sand over it right before painting. Not what I wanted! I let the primer sit...

    Rebirth of my 1970 GTX!

I got the cam from Bob Karakashian. Really nice guy! Told him how I was building the engine and he said, "Yep, I'll get you a cam that will idle super smooth and have more torque and horsepower than almost any other cam out there." At twice the price... But, he doesn't give out any cam specs...

    Rebirth of my 1970 GTX!

I was really tempted to use the Eastwood stuff as I want to do as much work as possible myself. But, a few things got farmed out. I hope yours stay looking great!

    Rebirth of my 1970 GTX!

So, now I'm looking at this thing. I've got a 1969 18-spline and 1970 case and tailhousing to put it into. After a bit of playing around with it I have a pretty good idea of how it works! Looks like it spent a bit of time getting jambed into reverse. But, my novice eyes don't see much wrong.

Can anyone identify these two clips and where they go? 69 GTX

I'm pretty sure they help hold the bottom corners of the windshield trim in place somehow.

    Rebirth of my 1970 GTX!

I'm gonna post this quick because I got these back in the mail today. These manifolds look amazing! I had Performance Coatings coat them in ceramic Satin Tungsten Grey. It should keep the heat down quite a bit and look great for many years! I had them plug the holes for the heat valve. I planned...

The reason for my long hair.

Thirty years of long hair was enough for me. I cut it off for a job interview and don't miss it one bit!

K Frame Missing the "COIN" w/part number stamp

Really, the only people that will care are you and car show judges. Or, maybe an overly **** friend. I destroyed my original K-frame in an accident. It had a "79" coin welded on top of the "90" coin. Just today I welded the "79" coin on top of the "90" coin on the replacement K that I bought...
