I found some dog dishes to put on the factory steelies on my 72 4-door. Helped with looks a lot! Next I’m putting on 15” steelies to get it up more.
Keep it stock. The 2:71 gears are really nice on the highway. I have a black '72, but with 122K miles. It would be nice to come across a 400/727 and install it but then you'd have to put in a 8 3/4 rear and the cost would not be recouped.
When you have the heat control all the way to the left (shut off), do you still feel some warm air coming out of the vents? If so, put a water shut-off valve on your heater hose.
The Mopar part# for that application is 3431459, so you can do some google searches with that.
The repros out there are not an exact copy of the original cable but come close. Length needed is around 71”.

A belated welcome to you Yella Stella. I too have a coke-bottle 4-dr B-body, a '72, helping it "dodge" the crusher. Best looking 4-drs B-bodies ever I believe.
My steering is also way sloppy, but I'm just gonna live with it.
