I used a punch to knock those 3 tabs flat, but still couldn't slide them in all the way. I put the rubber in the Freezer, the slide it in about 1/3 the way. Pulled the top portion out of the groove and pulled and pushed with dishsoap until I got the botton end flush. Then I used the screwdriver...
The aftermarket glass is a mess. i could not get a vent wing window from Classic industries that fit. The cut of the glass is clearly different than the originals and left a 1/4 inch gap at the top of the vent window. Reinstalled my original but scratched Vent Glass. I haven't installed my...
thanks for your information. I am about to install the front glass into the door with the vent wing assembly already installed. I watched a you-tube video where the guy dropped the window in from the top by separating the very top of the Vent wing assembly.
I also wondered about whether to...
I had bad luck with the aftermarket gauges. My gauge was not set up for th 8-73 ohms range that most fuel sending units deliver. Likewise, many of the new sending units aren't made to send the 8-73 ohms range so that the readings are so far off it isn't helpful. I have finally found an...

Thanks for posting. I like the steering wheel and the steering column connector with the snap ring. That makes a lot of sense to me and it is easier than messing with those aluminum tabs over the rubber seal. Let me know when you install the window regulators and the weather stripping around...
my 69 GTX convertible is missing a behind the dash relay. a flat triple plug goes to
the relay and another 12 gauge tan feed comes off the relay and powers the power windows.
in the repair manual, i could only find this set up under the fury for 69.
whoever removed that relay on my car over...
I may have just posted incorrectly.
I am very interested in the air cleaner and 440 pie tin. restoring my 68 Charger RT. This was one of the few parts missing in the acquisition.
The taillights look great. In fact, all that you are doing looks pretty good. Thanks for the post. All this lies ahead of me for my 68 R/T 440 4 speed.
