FOR SALE 1969 Super Bee 440 six pack

My Father-in-Law has made the tough decision to sell his beloved 69 Super Bee, so I have offered to list it for him here. Below are the details: This is a real deal 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee. The car originally came with a 383HP, but has been replaced with a stout 440 6-Pack. The...

69 Charger 500 in New Jersey

Ditto. No reply to my email. - - - Updated - - - I have wondered the same thing. I wonder if they are looking for a buyer overseas who might wire them a deposit, then disappear after they get it. Either way, you'd think they would list it with a more realistic price. Anyone who knows these...

69 Charger 500 in New Jersey

Cool. Thanks! I did also find it listed on Auto Trader Classic. - - - Updated - - - That's what I've thought from the get go, but you never know. I certainly am not falling for it, because I wouldn't send any money without seeing it in person.

69 Charger 500 in New Jersey

That's what I'm thinking, too, but Damn that's a good looking car. I can't find it listed anywhere else, and the seller has no history (He just joined Old Ride to post the ad), so my spam radar is tingling. A 68/69 Charger is our final piece of the puzzle, and we've been searching for several...

69 Charger 500 in New Jersey

If I wasn't 20 hours away, I'd be in the car now, but it just seems fishy. That's a $50K car all day long.

69 Charger 500 in New Jersey

Is anyone familiar with this car in Jersey City? http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/895981.html It seems like a deal that's too good to be true, but if it is, I'd be down there tomorrow with a bank check and a trailer. I emailed the seller, but no response.

    66 Charger Wheels

Right now the car has 255-60/15s front and rear, and the fronts do rub. However, the tires are on a set of 15x7 cop wheels that have 4.25 backspacing. I am now looking at a set of 15x8.5 with 3.75 BS wheels for the rear, which should fit the 255 tires better. The math tells me they'll fit...

    66 Charger Wheels

I checked back through a bunch of threads, but could not find a direct answer to these questions: Was a 15" wheel available on a 66 Charger? If so, what would have been the stock sizes? I am going to get a set of TT D chrome wheels for ours. The rears will be 15x7 with 3.75" BS, and...

We have a repop on ours and I'm surprised at how well it fits, though I'm not sure what brand it is.

    1970 -vs- 1974 440

You can take any 440 block and make it into what you want. It's based on what you put on/in it. People even take the old motor home 440 blocks and make them into ground pounders. Just due your due diligence in picking the right parts. The biggest thing will be using the right heads and cam...

    Window scratch removal/repair

I've heard about using toothpaste, also, and I believe it works. However, typically if you can feel the scratch with a finger nail, it is most likely too deep to buff out. You can also check your local auto parts store. They will probably have several different brands of cleaners that might...

    I found a 426 Hemi on eBay for 9500

Looks like it could be legit, but I would still stay away from it. His BIN is the same as the standard list price, which is probably the only price he will sell it for. Also, this could well be an older one when the QC absolutely sucked, so it will probably require a complete tear down to...

    Fuel System

Sounds like you need a vented cap at least. That's a pretty nasty vacuum that's being formed in the tank. I believe there should also be an overflow vent in the filler neck which could be clogged.

Anyone looking for a `66 Charger project?

There was an option for a console tach, that is very rare. I have a console mounted vacuum gauge that will look pretty cool when I get it on.

    Lowering compression?

To drop that much it will probably take a combination of thicker gaskets, head work, and/or lower compression pistons. You might even have to go as far as new heads?

    Superbird Restoration

Try Dave at Roseville Mopars, Dante's Mopar, or Tony's Mopar. You can speak with them in person, and they should be able to work with you on shipping, etc. Most likely the stuff you want will not all be available at the same time, so it will probably take multiple shipments. These are a few...

    Bass pro shop show

Nice car. Is that the show at the Grapevine Bass Pro? I'm over near the Garland one, but they only have a couple shows a year, and usually a pretty weak turnout.
