Hi all,i'm planning on doing some small restoration projects on my 63 sport fury this weekend I was hoping for a few tips to help me out I'll just list my questions and if you can help thanks!1. I plan on restoring the front aluminum grill, was it originally shiny or dull? There are a lot of...
Hi guys,
you have all helped me in the past which I have immensely appreciated. I have another problem. In the garage that my fury was housed this intake manifold was found. I do not believe it is for my 318 poly but I figured I would let you guys Id this 4 barrel intake for me. It would be a...
Thanks nick,
could you recommend where to start with upgrades? I was going to get a 4 barrel carb, dual exhaust and better headers.
i checked out your website last night and it was a wealth of information! Thanks for that.
I wanted to thank you all for the wealth of information I've received from you all.
While id love to drop a 383 or 426 max wedge in it the car holds more sentimental value like I stated in the past. The previous owner was the son of the original owners and every mile and oil change is...
Thanks guys.
Not sure where to go from here. I'm assuming that because the 318 is smaller it makes it a less desirable engine? Kind of clueless here as to what it does for value too considering hagerty doesn't even have that listed.
Thanks again
Edit: Just a precursor, I would never ever...
Hi all,
ive been trying to identify the engine I'm my sport fury and I'm all out of thoughts. I can't seem to locate the block stamp. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Anyways I though it was a 383 originally due to 383 being stamped on the intake manifold. But the carb is 2 barrel.
Then...
Welcome!!!!!
Being somewhat young at 21 (well, in relation to all the old farts on here ;P) I really like being half owner of a 63 sport fury. I can do any maintenance or work on it that I need. Which is nice compared to my my current computer based daily driver!
be prepared for all the info...
I'd probably drop in a 426 max wedge, can't beat those cross rams.
Had a lot of fun with the top down today. I originally thought it was a 383 from a stamp on the intake manifold but the carb is only a 2 barrel :/. I can't find the block stamp while it's in the ca unfortunately.
thanks all!
Thanks for the formatting help!
I'll be posting engine pictures soon to get an idea of what it has in the engine bay. I know for sure its not a max wedge :D
Hi guys,
i only have have one picture for now I snagged when I was taking care of the car for the original owner. It's not great but it's a start. I'll take more this weekend hopefully when I move it to my garage!
the uploader kept rotating the picture so here's an imgur picture...
