This black paint is on top of the red body color. It appears to have texture similar to the organosol paint used on the hood for the performance hood blackout.
I have a 1968 Roadrunner that has two tone paint with a black painted top. I am finding black paint in the door jambs and on the jambs of the doors. Is this something done by a previous owner or was this done during production?
Something else that is odd about this car I found out. My uncle bought this car from the second owner and he swore that the in dash tachometer is original. If that is the case it should have a 7 under the T. Could the 4 under the C have anything to do with it having an in dash tachometer? Just...
My uncle also has a 1968 RR he is restoring. Yesterday I was decoding his fender tag and it has one option I can not find anywhere. As you can see above it has a 4 under the C and I can not find a reference to this option. Anyone got any idea what this option is?
She ain't much but I have most of the parts except for interior parts and a tranny. My first project is new floor pans and trunk pan. All the glass is good except for the windshield.
Thanks for the info guys. I am very happy about the color combo on the car. It has black interior and the decor package as well. I have a lot of work to do on it as it is just a rolling body but excited to have it.
