    Have never changed mine going from the five or four pin units to points. Never had a problem.

    It will overheat and melt down if used wrapped in foil. Plus batteries will no longer work. So how you going to power it?

    He had better forget any type of performance. Big block Mopar and quiet isn't happening. You can hide the sound by running it out back. But someone will still be hearing it with any kind of peddle.

    Not sure where one per side Imperial mufflers would fit a B body without floor pan modifications. Those mufflers were huge.

    I have used that method threw out the years untill approaching the trans in the 06 Ford that thing weights 580 lbs. Not putting that on my stomach.

    But I was much younger when the last one was installed. Like 25 years ago. Just bench pressing things into place isn't what it once was. Gravity has a much larger affect now.

    Have you checked the fuel flow volume of the pump? Procedure is on the factory service manual. After the needles and seats the carb really doesn't care what the fuel pressure is. Pressure creates flow. What the carb wants is volume of fuel. But they kind of go hand in hand. To many things can...

    Rebuilt 727 shifts but no downshift

    Best to study the why, what and where before doing things. If your engine will not support it 5800 rpm shift points will not do a bit of good. This is why it's best to know the power band before making adjustments. I take it your happy with everything but the down shift?
