    If everything else checks out OK, here is something to consider. Rebuilt engine ran OK at idle but when RPM was increased the temp would go up. What was eventually found was the piston to cylinder wall clearance was too tight and friction would cause it to overheat.

    Replaced the alternator and voltage regulator in my 66 Dodge Charger and it’s still not charging. What else could be the problem.

    my 72 had charging problem that turned out to be corrosion inside the wires. Outside looked ok but copper inside was discolored with flecks of green. Bypassing ammeter gauge and using new wire also got rid of headlights and dash flickering dimming then bright.
