Yeah the pictures don't really do it justice very well. The rest of the housing aligns and the gaps for the trunk gutter look good. Whatever we decide it'll look a million times better than when I bought the car. At sometime in the cars previous life a pseudo restoration was attempted with...
Hello everyone,
It's been awhile since I've been on the forum but now I need some advice. I started a restoration on my 68 Road Runner. I replaced the cabin and trunk floors however I came to a point where the rust damage exceeded my knowledge and skill. So my car has been in the process of...
Mopar 3 B,
I actually have an old Sun tune up station with an oscilloscope but it doesn't currently work. It's on my list of projects...somewhere after my Road Runner and F250. Even though the truck has been running for about 10 years with the MSD distributor I did double checked the wiring...
Beekeeper,
I will double check the grounds and then test voltage. I disconnected the lamp wire from the dash lights and I still have same issue. Only thing I can think of is somehow the extra load on the alternator is affecting the signal from the coil? Trust me Durandal this problem as...
Durandal,
This issue is incredibly frustrating. Hate to say it but Im glad somebody else has the same problem because I was starting to feel like it was just me! Id like to keep this tach because it matches the truck so well it looks stock. I can only work on trying to diagnose this issue...
Im having a strange problem with my vintage late 60s early 70s 8000 RPM half sweep Stewart Warner Greenline tachometer in my 1970 F250. I apologize I know it's not Mopar related but I figure the cumulative knowledge in this forum may be able to help solve my issue.
The tach has its original...
Now that I know my car didn't come stock with door hinge shims I'm curious. If the doors are adjustable...how so? Why could shim kits not be used? I appreciate all opinions, not trying to start an argument. Thanks.
Thank you all for your responses. My Road Runner had an old restoration before I acquired it and I'm sure some of the reassembly was incorrect. I have no doubt with all the knowledge on this forum I'll be able to properly reassemble my car. Right now I'm finishing up all the metal work. My...
Hello everyone,
So I bagged and tagged all parts for my 68 Road Runner during disassembly. Unfortunately I can now not find the bag containing the door hinge shims and bolts. I've been looking online for replacement shims and bolts however I can't find any. AMD doesn't seem to make them...
Thanks for the replies. When I get the rails finished that will be the majority of the rust repairs. Still have some more spots but that's mainly patch work. I'll check out Sherman's, I haven't seen them in my searches. Thanks again.
Brad
Hi everyone,
I just finished installing an AMD one piece floor pan in my 68 Road Runner. Looks great and I am very happy with the fit and finished. Now I'm turning my attention to the driver side drip rail along the bottom of the roof. I have found AMD reproduction drip rails but they are...
Thanks for the advice. I finally got the rear window trim off. It was PIA but now it's off. I think I've convinced a glass company to help me remove the windows now that the trim has been taken off.
Awesome thank you. I appreciate your time. Gonna be a few days before I can get to it. Around here I haven't found the old school glass guy. I'll check back in a few and update with progress...hopefully.
Thanks airgrabber. I'll try again on my next days off. It was strange because I had no problem with the front window. I'll take any advice you have on removing the glass too. I tried to pay someone to do the work but they saw the car and got scared. I've tried all the glass places in town...
Hello all,
Im trying to remove the stainless rear window trim from my 1968 Road Runner. I have the tool and removed the front window trim with no problem. I can't seem to hook the clips on the rear window trim. Does anyone have any tips?
Thx
Brad
Hi 69 GTX,
I would think so though but I can't say for sure. I should post that question on the general forum. Do you possibly have a 69 frame you would consider selling?
Thx
Brad
