    Instrument panel connection identification

I wanted to post this in case anyone has ever had trouble with their instrument panel, or in case anyone was to install a full aftermarket set of gauges and wanted to stick to the original wires if they are still in good shape. This was off of a 1970 satallite. The picture is based off of the...

Electronic ignition, ECM, ballast resistor, voltage regulator.

There was diamond plate interior door panels, hideous. Coat hangers tieing up the headlight bezels, it goes on and on. Once I got out all the trash and nasty *** "upgrades" I didn't have much there. So rather than restoring a 318 satallite for $20k, I'm making a very respectable roadrunner...

Electronic ignition, ECM, ballast resistor, voltage regulator.

No this car was not ready for a full restoration. I got it with a lot of barnyard repairs. An electrical nightmare. Not to mention I bought it as a 383 car not worried about numbers matching as the Vin decoded it for a 318 satalite, once I started working on it I found out real quick it was...

That's a pretty amazing car! I built a center console Very similar to that. Even the same shifter! You would think I copied your idea.

    ECM/ voltage regulator combo diagram

I finally found a diagram that looks kinda like this, I've looked it over and it matched one I just found on AllPar.com I was second guessing it because I was only seeing the ECU diagram with the ballast and "run" "start" possition. But a voltage regulator diagram never showed the ECU. Thanks...

Electronic ignition, ECM, ballast resistor, voltage regulator.

I guess so, when I got the car it had been through hell as far as backyard mechanics. No one could even tell what distributor was actually on it or why it even worked. So i installed an electronic ignition system and As of right now it runs great with that setup I have in the drawing, but I'm...

Electronic ignition, ECM, ballast resistor, voltage regulator.

Hey guys, seems like every where I look I have different diagram's for the voltage regulator, and the electronic ignition system, I've drawn up something that looks right. Using ballast resistor, ECM and distributor from proform, stock voltage regulator, and an externally regulated alternator...

Oil pump went dry after oil change

Good to know! Considering Fram is the brand Wal-mart carries it could be a good indication to stay away!

Oil pump went dry after oil change

As a matter of fact it is fram. Ill be replacing that ASAP! I did the oil change after work At the shop I work at and the service department was closed so I couldn't get a genuine Mopar brand Filter. I'm in the body shop department of a dealership, Not to mention the Worlds Largest Dodge...

Oil pump went dry after oil change

There's actually a handful of threads about this topic, when I asked several other go to guys here locally, they all said I was forgetting something or that my oil pump was shot. But I explained all I did was drain and replace the oil it made no sense for something mechanical to fail. BTW I also...

Oil pump went dry after oil change

Yes I've still got good pressure now, I'll have to reconnect the line at the actual pressure Guage because it started to drip and it let air back in at that point, giving me false readings, but I've put at least 80 miles on it since that happened and everything seems fine.

Oil pump went dry after oil change

Hey guys first post here, recently picked up a '70 satellite, it's oddly got a 400 BB as it was originally a 318 car. I just recently changed the oil, and during the job the oil pump went dry and with the new filter and oil, I had no oil pressure! I tried all the easy tricks to get pressure...
