I think RemCharger nailed it. I removed the breather (temporarily of course), drove the car and got it up to operating temperature. Squealing is gone. I believe the breather was plugged up and not allowing fresh air to enter the crankcase. I sprayed carb cleaner into the breather and swished...
I really wish musekmkr would have posted if he ever found the problem. Right now, I'm experiencing the exact same problem and I can't find the source of my squealing sound.
RemCharger, Yes, I have a breather.
cosgig, oil pressure is about 55lbs as the engine warms up and it will drop to 45lbs when fully warmed up. Oil pressure never goes below 40lbs.

Anyone have any safe ways/tips to remove the over center spring on a 69 Super Bee? The coils do not seem to separate whether the pedal is up or down so the "washer" method doesn't seem feasible. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My shifter is not new and it's not defective.
So here is what I found on the net late last night. I found that many 64 - 69 Hurst shifters didn't have a neutral alignment hole in the reverse gate. So, as a result of this, what you're supposed to do it swing the reverse gate out of the way and...
