I bought this carb new from Holley 3 months ago. I was having my center carb rebuilt but I did not want to be down while waiting. Used for about 100 miles and swapped the original back on last week. Never had to touch the set up. It was ready to go. New its $800 plus tax. I'll ship to you...
I've had this kit on my 70 6 Barrel set up for a few years. Rebuilt carbs and went back to stock mainly because I just wanted to. Normally $500. I'll ship to you for $325 but you'll need to get new gaskets. Thanks.
Stock cam. Superbird. Initial timing is 10 and 34 all in at 2200.
Promax Metering block. They set it up for my location so unsure what IFR they used. Main jet is 64 center and 84 outboards per their recommendation.
I checked floats first thing. I tried the IAB method on the outboards and got zero change either way on either carb. I also tried the IAB at 1/2 turn out and got zero change so I'm wondering what's up with that?
I set them back to 1/4 turn. Adjusted main carb with vacuum gauge and it ran best at 2.25 turns out. still a rough idle at stop signs. Car shakes a bit. I may turn the outboards out another 1/8 turn and see if the main idle screws come in a bit.
I've read all the different 6 pack tuning articles and it sure seems straight forward enough but I'm getting an odd result when I'm setting up my idle. I just had the 3 carbs rebuilt by a holly guy in town that other mopar 6 pack guys recommended. I set the outboard idle mixture screws at 1/2...

Thanks. I just downloaded the 72 parts catalog so I know it will list the part number. I'll see what I can find. they look totally enclosed so I assume there is no rebuilding them.
I got a set of Hotchkis TB for my 69 RR 1 year ago. Installed them and had a gasser look, or a low rider look. I called Hotchkis and they said sorry....some of the last TB went out with the right and left labels crossed. That cost me hours of cussing and jerking around.
Me and my friend's Superbirds.
