An engine is more or less an air pump. You draw air in, you move air out. That's why better flowing heads and intakes produce more power. The more air you take in, the more fuel you take in. So by putting a vacuum gauge on your engine, you are basically seeing the rate of air into the engine...
You're right on the money! Some engines run very well with as much as 25° initial timing. The problem is that the average Joe doesn't recurve the advance and ends up with issues. The vacuum trick is the way to go. Once you get that set, it's a matter of changing the total timing, if needed. This...
I did a search and didn't find any good info, so here's the question. Do I need to run a return with a Holley blue pump? I've been hearing of guys burning the pump up in traffic because it was dead heading. Anyone have some real world experience? This is going into a roadrunner clone that...

I know to some this will be blasphemy but has anyone used our know of someone who has used a Wolo beep beep horn? Does it sound the same as the original Mopar piece? Only reason I ask is that it's 1/2 the price of the purple reproduction.
Seen your post and thought I'd add a little info for the guys that don't know. If you have a good lens cover that is not cracked, you can polish them back to New. Mine was cracked and I found one on a web site that someone had tried to buff and burned the plastic with the buffer. I took 600 grit...
I'll say this about the MSD boxes. When I put my small block together, I installed an after market hei, to replace the points distributor. I'm running a comp cams xe284 cam and was getting extremely Rich smelling exhaust. I would smell like it after a short Cruise through town. I installed an...
Thanks guys. I installed the one complete set, on the right bank today. Cured 90% of my lifter noise. I'll make a spacer and install the other set soon.
