    Parking/running lights

Hey guys, when my headlights are on should my parking lights be on also? Because mine aren't. They come on when the light switch is pulled halfway out like they're supposed to. The turn signals work fine also. I just thought they were to come on with the headlights. Thanks.

    Vintage Air heater box install

Looks great. Did you plumb into the factory defrost vents in the top of the dash, or did you use the supplied ones? How far does the unit hang down? It's hard to tell did you mount it above the transmission hump? I'm in the same perdicament with my 66satellite. My A/C is long gone, and nothing's...

    Moroso valve cover gaskets

Thanks for the responses guys. I went with the fel-pro vs50145r because my local parts store had them in stock. For $17.00 I thought I would give them a shot. They had good reviews. I did notice they are very stiff. Hope they work.

    Moroso valve cover gaskets

Hey guys looking at replacing my valve cover gaskets on mt 383. I have cast M/T valve covers on stock cast heads. From what I see the base of the valve covers look just like the base on the cast Mopar performance valve covers. Just wondering if the moroso #93055 gaskets will work with those...

    Satin, flat, matte black

Thanks guys for the help. The body shop is using a satin black with satin clear. Another question I have is when washing and waxing the car, what do you guys use on satin paint for protection. I think that waxing it would make it glossy. Thanks

    741 to 489

Guess what, the damnedest thing happened it's all back together. My buddy and I had the center section on the bench and with the axles, and with a Little jockeying around they slid in. So back under the car we went to dry fit again. Every thing went back together without a hitch. We pulled it...

    741 to 489

Dave, now that I look at it I don't think I'm getting to the second set of splines. If that makes sense. I took the 498 in to a reputable speed shop and had new gears and bearings put in, I'm waundering if I should have sent the axles with. So now what do I do.

    741 to 489

Not sure what the thrust block is, but if it's the shiny flat button past the splines I'm not even hitting that. I pulled the 489 and put it on the bench put a little grease on the splines of the axle, and slid it in. It pushed the grease up the splines about 3/8" to 1/2" up. What I noticed is...

    741 to 489

Need a little help. I switched from a 741 open center section to a 489 cone type sure grip in my 66sat. Now during the dry fit the axles won't go in all the way. (About 1/2"or so is still sticking out). Before I took the 489 in, I took the drivers side axle and slid it in the 489 when it was on...

    Rear shocks

I do have the *** off the ground, rear end hanging. I pulled the center section, and it's at the shop getting 3.55 gears installed. I thought this would be a great time to install the the add a leaf. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until I get the sure grip back in. I'll get it reassembled...

    Rear shocks

So I wanted to get a little more height in the rear of my 66. I bought the add a leaf from Summit (pro comp #13120). Install was simple, no problems. Now this created a new issue, my air shocks fully extended (22.5") are a bout an inch or so to short? Anyone else run in to this using the add a...
