I would propose that along as you don't do anything that can't be undone, just get the thing on the road and enjoy :).

    Swapping out 8&3/4 for Dana

LOL! Can't tell a damn bit of difference from the 4.10 Sure-Grip 8&3/4 that it replaced. But it looks sexy :D

    Swapping out 8&3/4 for Dana

Dana went in slick as can be. Drive shaft shortened 1&1/2", 1350 yoke end welded on, shaft balanced. Piece of cake. Thanks for the tips!

    Swapping out 8&3/4 for Dana

About to swap out the 8.75 in my '69 Road Runner for a Dana 60. Dana is set up as a bolt in exchange for the 8.75, so aside from drive shaft shortening, are there any other potential hiccups I should anticipate? Seems I may need to replace a drive shaft end, is this correct?

Unless you had some other goodies come out with the disassembly, you may be missing some components...this pic from the '69 Satellite service manual.

    Winged warrior meet.

Yup, I know this car (http://www.wwnboa.org/specfeatwp.htm). The owner, Wayne, is a walking encyclopedia, and has some great cars. Here's some pics of another of his awesome cars, a Charger 500 survivor (LOVE the KH "Recall" rims!):

Things that make you go "Hmmm..."

Saw this today at Mopars on the Mississippi in Dubuque, IA. and I did a Vaudeville style double take. Pretty cool. I think they'd sell a million of 'em.

Another new guy and his Road Runner

No, but old ProgRock is an appropriate guess! After the military I became a chemist, and after I (semi) retired from chemistry, "entropy" became an amusing handle for me based on the thermodynamic definition that defines entropy basically as "the energy in a system unavailable to do work" :D...

    '68 Coronet

My old high school ride, had her until I joined the military in '86. Super quick old car, 440/4 speed/ Dana 4.10, and way more fun than a teenager should be allowed! Ran a six pack for a while, she also sported Keystones for a bit.

Another new guy and his Road Runner

Hello from Iowa! Mike here. Jumping in with my (new to me) 69 Road Runner 440 6bbl. Started with Mopars in the early '80 in high school (had a '68 coronet with a 440/A833/Dana 4.10 that ran like a scalded dog, a '73 340 RR, and an old Dart ), but got out of old cars when I went into the...
