Ok so I know my 70 bee wasn't originally black and the color under it is a lime green. But under the green is like a redish doo-doo brown color. I can't seem to find any grey primer so did dodge use a red primer? It's a misouri assembled car I think.
Your gas and temp gauge both run in seeries from your instrument voltage limiter. They should both have a 5V input and get thier ground through your ignition switch. I'm not sure what your cluster actually looks like but if it has the old type circuit board like my 70 super bee you can look...
I guess partly because I'm obsessive and when it's slow at work I sit and analyze my plans, or lack thereof. Every one I work with on my crew literally views cars as an appliance while I sit an research kick down linkages and turn the weight and power ratings of my car into physics equations...
Ok here's the situation of the car. I'm trying to figure out which way to go.
-The rear end is either warped or frame is bent. Rear tires arent aligned, wearing on outside
- needs new quarters
-floor and trunk pans are perfect
- no rust up front
- engine and trans good
- glass and seals perfect...
My grandfather gave me this old shop manual from 1963 -1968 it's has over 1000 pages with every car from the big three. I've been using it a lot even though the book is falling apart
I should also mention that it was hit pretty hard on the left side and I can see oblong holes all over the frame from where it was straightened on a rack
So this is what the tread looks like in the rear. Its kind of disheartening because if it's not the axle then it means the rear frame rails are bent. Like I'm hoping it's just the housing but I don't know. If the frame rails are bent would it even be worth it or feasible to build the car? I'm...
Not sure if everyone knows about this but if you go onto youtube and search for "Chrysler Master Tech" there are a ton of service technician training videos from the 50s all the way up to the late 70's.. lots of really good info
I've actually laid hands on that bird and watched it take off from here. They'd always put on a little show for us on take off. I can't wait till they come back for mod work
I really don't know anymore but I guess and say hundreds if not thousands. We delete a lot of wires for our mod. With the new computer systems added there's actually less wires needed because one computer can do the job of 3 separate components from the 70's and 80s. Kinda neat if ya get into...
Yea I might try to do that if it's not too bad. But when I took off the wheel I did notice that the left wheel only had a spacer on it and the right one didn't. I ran out of time before I had a chance to take it all out
Aircraft...right now its kind of like pimp my ride for aircraft. We get in old planes and modify them to accept new software, engines and various other systems. I'm on the avionics/electrical side of things
