I went with a repop on my upper dash pad as well. Like you, I couldn’t see spending that kind of money on the original. I did however have Just Dashes restore my lower dash pads and I was very pleased with how they turned out.

The H.E.M.I show, March 5th, 2022 Phoenix. AZ

Does anyone know if they will be posting the results of each class? Unfortunately I had to leave early and didn’t get to see the winners.

    Interiors: Dash restoration

I used Just Dashes recently to restore the lower dash pads on my charger. It took 6 months because they always have huge work load but I was very happy with the results.

    POR-15 High Temp Paint

I used factory manifold gray on a set of headers once. I sand blasted the headers as prep. The finish lasted close to 20 years before a little bit of rust started come through. I was very happy with the results.

    Rocker arm shaft hold downs

I think you’re fine. I just checked a picture of my GTX’s rocker arms and they looked the same. I have roller rockers on my Charger though and the hold downs are right up against a thin shim on each side.

    Frustrated again

Upping the weight limits isn’t a good idea. I work in the transportation industry and manage a shop that fixes semi trailers everyday. Overloading trailers will only cause them to get damaged and repairing trailers right now is a pain in the *** because of parts shortages.

    PSA: Don't Text & Drive

Man that really sucks. Looked like a beautiful car. Glad you made it out with your life. I don’t know if I’d be able to stop myself from beating this **** out of someone who hit my car.

    '68 Charger dash pad

Bob, do you have pictures of the problems that your Classic Industries dash pad is developing? I just got my dash pad out and it was a lot of work. I had pretty much made my mind up to buy the Classic reproduction pad instead of restoring my old one but two years seems kind of short to start...

    '68 Charger dash pad

They will strip the cover and put a new one on, grind out and replace foam that is degrading and repair and remove any rust on the frame. They have some pretty cool videos of their processes on their website and Facebook. $700 seems a little steep considering a brand new reproduction dash pad is...

Just got a quote from them for the upper dash pad restoration: $700 for black. If it needs a color match add on $300.
