I checked with Hamtamck Registry and they only do 1970 models. Why did the factory delete the vacuum ports on the firewall for the dual snorkel? Since the firewall vacuum ports were deleted, why would they still use a double snorkel breather? I've been told in the past that with the factory...

From reading this thread, I assume the orange dual snorkel is correct for a 1973 Charger SE 400 HP engine? I was once told that because the vacuum outlet on the firewall has a blank plate on it, the air cleaner should be single snorkel and black. But that is incorrect, right??
I have been trying to find out the history of my Charger. Does anyone know where I can go to get the history for this particular car? Also, does anyone know how many triple black 1973 Charger SE's with the 400 high performance engine were made? Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
I have a 1973 Charger SE and don't know why the radio won't work. The radio was working when I got it but when I put it in the car, you can hear it come on, but no stations. I put in a new antenna and speaker. Could it be a grounding issue and if so, how can I troubleshoot the problem? Any...
The radios in my 1973 Charger and 1974 Dart Swinger have the same issue. When you turn the radio on, you can hear the power but can't get a station. Could this be a ground issue? It's weird that both cars have the same problem. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Thank you for the reply but my cables are new and original equipment. Positive cable is 1/16" smaller than on my 440. Both sold to me as original equipment. Don't know if this would make a difference. Any thoughts?
New engine rebuild. Automotive machine shop who knows Mopars, best in the area. I am a purist all is back as original as possible. Just found that my positive cable is 1/16" smaller diameter than my 69 440. Automatic transmission. Don't know if 1/16 is enough to make a difference. Yes, the...
Would appreciate any ideas on what could be causing starting issue on a 400 engine. I have put 4 starters, 3 batteries, new coil, new starter relay and still no start. It turns over slowly like the battery is going out and the positive cable gets hot after about 15-20 seconds of trying. When...
I asked the wrong question. I've since found out that what I need to know is if the EPR Valve (Evaporator Pressure Regulator) is needed if I'm using R134A?
