Ok guys , can't believe I'm doing it but I'm putting up for sale my pride and joy 73 charger "496 bee" . Car is like new and only built with the best of the best period. Excellent street manners , show winner, and a 10 second ride as it sits, what more can you ask for. Tons invested I just put...
Btw my 8 3/4 had the strange ss axles , Richmond gears, and a strange sure grip. Before I took weight out of my car it weighed 4k with me in it and would run 11.5s consistent with a best of 11.2 . . .never had a great 60' I think it was always like 1.69 but still it's a 4k lb. car with 700hp and...
For manuel steering you need the box and the steering extension/ adapter. I think flaming river sells one... You will be fine with the 8 3/4 , check out my 73 charger build. I built mine to be a true street strip car also. 8 3/4s built seem to be holding up very well so far.
Awesome numbers! I was expecting mid to low 5s... Obviously it's a killer combo but just out of curiosity why didn't you go with more lift in the cam ?
Thanks, that's actually the before picture. Next time I have a wheel off I'll snap a picture of them cut. Those are my thoughts exactly I really didn't want to run spacers at .my only concern is the placement of the master cylinder rod on the brake arm. Aerospace wanted me to drill a new hole at...
I actually didnt want to push the wheel out any further so as painful as it was I took a mini sawzall to the calipers lol . All is good now .... Still alittle under whelmed with the braking performance, maybe I had my expectations set to high but I was expecting corvette z06 stopping power . The...
And the saga continues.. finally went around the block yesterday and it's making a dragging / grinding noise. Jacked up the front and it spins freely, going to try the rear today. . . Also doesn't stop as well as I expected it to
Ugh, so my car has 1/4" brake line in... So begins replacing everything with 3/16". I actually bought this copper/nickel line that was more than twice as expensive as standard but you can bend it by hand. Also never supposed to rust/rot
Ugh still wrestling with the damn brakes . . Now looks like I have to change brake lines, anyone know what size lines are in a 73 charger 1/4 or 3/16 ? Also I was drum in the rear
Stupid question, is this a proportioning valve? Also does it have to come out now since I went from rear drum to disk? Aerospace has a built in proportioning valve in the master cylinder and recommends no others .
