The wife and I picked this 1974 up not too far from home. Spent most of its early years in TN then parked in 1999. Not much rust at all. This will be the next job as it is easier/faster to do than the challenger. Maybe done by mid summer? PO replaced the 318 with a 360. I will just replace the...
I have done a lot of 73 RR's and none have had this hole. Looks like a PO installed something, maybe a CB Radio! Just kidding, no idea what the hole was used for, but not factory IMHO.
Christmas presents for me! Ultrablend shaker and a Jeg's ?? parts washer. They are older, but they work as they should and only cost $50 a piece. PERFECT
Picked up the new compressor today. A little lower CFM than I wanted, but for $499.99 (after being on sale and the $150.00 rebate) I will learn to adapt. A forced sanding break every now and then might not be so bad!
Installed a Slinky on our pole style bird feeder. We had a squirrel problem. They would simply climb the pole and eat everything! Tried spraying the pole with Pam, WD-40, and a bunch of other very slippery stuff. Too cold around here and they all got stiff enough that the tree rats could...
It is out! There were only two bolts that were a real PITA, rest of the job was pretty straight forward but I would not recommend it as a hobby. Now back to posting better stuff!
Not working on MY car, but I am working on my oldest son's Escape. BTW, Escape is commonly said to mean, "Engineering Slowly Comes After People Explode" and yes, I just made that up. Anyway, their transmissions are
known POS that fail on a regular basis. This one was purchased with a blown...
Bolted down the lift columns today. Floor was not level so a couple of shims were needed. Ten bolts torqued to 125 ft/lbs would not have been a problem ten years ago. Today, they kicked my *** a little but they are bolted down and plumb all around. Guess I am starting to show my age a little...
This sounds like a TIG job. Look around for a local shop that can aluminum weld for a permanent repair. That crack should not take more than 30 minutes for them to fix, including time to properly clean the area.
My trans had a chunk taken out (about and 1" square) that was put back in place...
Drilling the 10 holes for the lift install. This was flat out the hardest concrete I have ever drilled. Burned up a new double cut bit and finally had to resort to a quad cut, and it was still a PIA. What should have taken a couple of hours at most (allowing for the drill to cool), ended up...
