no he said the tranny was fine, but the valve body should be replaced. To clarify my OP he cleaned up the valve body currently in it and replaced one of the springs. It drives and shifts like it should now and made a huge improvement. It finally feels like a 383 is supposed to feel when you...
Hey everyone, I have a 69 727 that is original to my coronet, last summer I had the trans serviced as it didn’t seem to be shifting and the kick down wasn’t engaging. I brought it to my transmission guy who is a very reputable mechanic specializing in transmissions. He cleaned it up and replaced...
I agree, the redline dog dishes are killer, I also like the plain black steel wheel, something about it is so aggressive, Not sure if I’m just used to the mags but feel like they look nice on the car, need to adjust the ride height in the front still though
Haha I was looking up old threads to see what’s the biggest tire I can run without mini tub, I have factory mags on it now but thinking about a plain black steelie, but not sure I like it with my paint job. You guys have any suggestions?
I have the same car but mine is white, I been wondering how it would look in dog dishes as mind still have the factory mags, do you have any other pics of her from the side? Hopefully you still have her! Thanks in advance
Awesome, thanks for the help I appreciate the responses! Also this might be a dumb question but is there any difference between 69 road runner and coronet doors? Thanks again guys
thanks for the reply, I’m not very experienced in fabrication. Is it pretty easy to do? I will get a pic of the area that needs repair tomorrow. It’s a small hole....so far
Hey everyone, anyone have a link to a thread or information on patching fenders on a 69 coronet? I have a small hole that needs to be patched in my lower rear fender. Does anyone know if I can use a lower rear patch panel from a road runner or charger? Any info is helpful, I’m including a pic...
Thanks for the response, I ended up finding one from a local MOPAR guy for $180 seems to be working great so far, but my temp gauge isn’t work even after replacing the sending unit one problem at a time right?
I like the oeish look to it, is it a three core? Have you had any issues with it overheating? Did you have to make any modifications? Thanks for the suggestion!
I think those might be a different radiator I was surprised they’re saying it won’t fit, I had a ECP/speedcooling one before the champion and had to open up the bolt holes a little bit other than that it fit fine and worked perfect. This champion should be for this car but doesn’t fit, anyone...
Sorry to jack the thread, Is this for a big block car? I just had my fan go through my radiator while driving and CI sent me a champion but my mechanic is saying it doesn’t fit, sticks up 1” too high and the hood wont close now. Could you send me the serial number to the one you bought? I have a...
*update* think I’m finally out of the woods, bought a new Holley 80457sa carb today and put it on the car, only adjusted the idle mixture screws slightly and probably need to fine tune it still but the hesitation is finally gone. Still need the correct spacer but it will work for now. Can’t...
*update* called Holley to see if the carb I have is the correct one for the car and it seems it’s a random one stuck on it, and requires a different rebuild kit than the 4160 style carb. So I’m assuming this may have something to do with the hesitation as well as what looks like a vacuum leak. I...
I get the mechanical advance now. Just was a little confused before with how things were worded, Had the car all timed and dialed in and running great (minus the hesitation) but now I’m convinced it’s something to do with this carb or base gasket, looking at the pic I posted earlier of the base...
