Complete set of pedal dress trim. Came out of a 1970 NewPort . Bake pedal corner that was closest to the gas pedal is very thin. I believe it can be flipped over to make that corner the upper left. E brake is the same size on many of these cars. The gas and brake is a different shape as the...
I ran across this 67 coronet in my local junkyard. 12/2017 Fender tag and vin are gone. Mostly stripped but the body seems salvageable. Figured I would post the pics and get your feedback. I'm not interested but someone might be. I hate to see it lost.
At some point it had an R/T badge on it.
Looking for the 2 square trim buttons on this door panel. Early 68 Charger had them. Mine should have them based on production date. I have 2 and am looking for 2 more. My 2 came with a door that had a completely unusable door trim panel. Hopefully i can attach them to an aftermarket trim panel.
Thanks Mark for the image.
Does anyone know how the trim buttons were attached and removed? I have and old trim panel with these on it and I'm looking for another set of 2. My car should have had them based on the production date. Can you get these somewhere? I haven't yet studied the...
This picture was taken this week in my local junkyard/honey hole in one of the mopar SECTIONS. As you can see it's setting there largely ignored. I had overlooked it in my quest to find anything I might check off my list for my 68 Charger. What I and many others obviously didn't appreciate is...
Im starting my search for a sure grip unit to put in my 68 Charger. I have a 742 casting in it with 3.23 gears. I would like to add the sure grip to it when its time to rebuild. I'm getting prices all over the map. A sure grip not in a case from a strange bird on craigslist for 125.00
A...
I saw a video by the ram man about front brake upgrades. In the video he talked about the pin type caliper of the Cordoba. Well as luck would have it i ran into a cordoba in my local junk yard this week. Front brakes are mostly unmolested. The driver side still had the wheel on it. The...
I have a couple of old junk yards within short driving distance of my house. One is Mopar only. Gonna go look for a 8 3/4 sure grip center section. It's one thing I don't have and wish I did. It's not gonna be a deal breaker but hey why not if it's convenient.
How, other then the fender...
I read alot about adding torque boxes to drag cars and really high h/p cars. What about your basic driver with a street oriented build of 450 HP give or take a few? Should they be added or is it not enough power to wory about them?
At some time the prior owner decided he didn't like the beautiful red color of the interior of my Charger and spray painted the plastic items BLACK argh.
I'm talking about the kick panels, A pillars and the soft dash parts. How can this mess be removed without messing up the underlying parts?
About to order my hinge rebuild kit from Resto Rick. Anything I should know? I have about 4 sets of hinges. Anything special I should look for in the ones I use?
Planning on using to ones that were on this car originally unless something screams dont.
I have a 68 charger that I plan as a high quality driver/local car show restoration. I'm not planning on taking it to Pinehurst NC if you know what I mean.
1. I am planning on going to Carlisle pa next year. I was wondering about getting my bumpers exchanged while there. Any recommendation...
Why don't we start a restoration reference section? I know alot of reference stuff is on here but you have hunt around. How about starting a section for each model and year where good pics of systems/ variations etc are up loaded. You need reference pics of a 69 coronet and it's fuse box you...
Who do you guys use for all the general supplies for a total restoration? The body plugs, gaskets, fasteners, rubber bumpers etc.
Also is their a list somewhere that can be downloaded of everything that falls in this category that can but used as a checklist?
My 68 charger has been in storage for the last 35 years in a fully enclose unheated detached garage. The wire harness was removed when the car was stripped and put in a box. It was complete as I remember it. I'm checking off various system and it's up.
Can I use It if so what should I do to...
As many of you know my Charger was rescued from a junk yard. 75% of the interior was gone. I know the colors, center console a/c that sort of thing. The steering wheel was gone. I have no idea what would have been appropriate. No build sheet either.
Dec 20 1967 build date
Any help? Who to...
