The first cable i looped up around the starter and back to the shifter on the drivers side. Even with heat blankets it melted the cable. Now i run mine up around the passenger side. No issues so far.

Went for a test drive. The neutral coast whine is gone. It does have a pretty good howl to it at about 50mph. But other than that they are a lot quieter. Fingers crossed the 50mph howl will settled down with wear. But I doubt it.

It's going back together this evening. I'll update tomorrow after a test drive.

Trans go did answer both times and we went through the valvebody twice. But couldnt come up with a fix. The shuttle valve i had an issue with isn't something that's part of the kit.

After fixing the trans issue with the shuttle valve. I went for a test drive and found the valvetrain noise. The cam bolt backed out and let the chain slip. ugh! It was torqued but I didn't use locktite. So a valve, a new timing set and bolt with locktite. And presto the noise is gone.

After 2 calls to trans go with no luck. I finally found the shuttle valve spring binding on the spring seat in the plug. Once I fixed that it was all good.

Here are some pics of how it is currently. The preload was way off. I also moved the backlash from .012 to .007. Probably won't help the noise though.

I had a leak and needed to pull the center section out. How does this gear pattern look. It's only got about 50 miles on it. The backlash is right at .010. It seems noisy to me especially coasting in neutral. And the pinion seal is leaking. :mad: Should I make any adjustments while its out...

I confirmed proper install of the kit ky the instructions. I checked the valves i had out for movement and snags. Yes, it's non lockup and original to the transmission.

The kickdown is is full back at full throttle. The kickdown valve had about .175 clearance between the lever and valve.
