I've been think I might like to install power brakes on my 62 Fury. When I bought the car it had an after market PB system small cheap did not work. So I converted to manual brakes. Have any of you guys used a stock newer year brake booster from like a 68-78 etc ??? or something that has worked...
I will be replacing My 727 with a 46RH A518 overdrive unit. I will be replacing the cooler lines to 3/8". Would it be OK to run the fluid through the stock radiator cooler , and then into a large external cooler with 3/8" line size. I get that the stock cooler would create a flow restriction...
Does anyone know where I can get the white nylon/plastic trim clips that retain the wide stainlees trim on Plymouth Fury, on the roof line above the doors/ above the drip rail. There are 6 per side. Could use 12 of them. Looks like there was a push pin inserted to expand them to keep them in place.
I've seen where a lot of people have used a 727 slip yoke with they're 46RH/42RH swaps. But I've also read the the 46RH/42RH's yoke is not exacty the same as the 727. What has worked for you ? is there any real difference ?
Does anyone have any misc Push button valve body parts ? looking for rooster comb and low tension detent spring. Don't need complete VB unless it is cheap.
Were there any internal upgrades between the V6 42RH comparied to the V8 version ? Number of clutches etc. And would they be overly important on a 250hp driver cruiser ? Also do the cooler lines need to be increased from 5/16 to 3/8 ( the only problem I see with that is the internal cooler...
I have an A500 overdrive transmission. At some point I would like to install it into my 62 Fury. I know I will need to use a different shifter., and have a drive shaft made. But my question is, How well does it fit ? And if you need to do work on the floor pan, and how much. Any pictures...
well I already have the transmission ( got it a few years ago $150) The car has the 3.23s about the only major thing I would need , would be a cut down driveshaft. And you are probbably right about going to 3.55s at a later time.
