@copper67sat made a good choice on pistons. I went with a Lunati cam, right under 500 lift. My pistons are stock HP as my motor didn't need bored. They are. 016 in the hole. My heads are 516's and didn't need guides, but I had 1.74 exhaust valves installed with hardened seats and mild port...
What you want is fairly easy, but I think your budget is close to 2K short. Machine work on the block and new pistons, polishing the crank or turning it, plus all your rebuild parts will eat most of your 3K. Then your heads will eat up another big chunk. 516 heads are usable if you have bigger...
Why not stick with the Autolite? Autolites seem to run and last in my Mopars. Champion never seem to last for me, and NGK has been a choice of many here, but I haven't personally tried them.

If you can find that list, I would be very interested in a copy. I knew about the headrests, L, R, or both, and rubber bumper guards F, R, or both. Just never knew anything about optional seatbelts. Thanks for the input. One thing for sure, there are...

You can probably buy aftermarket shoulder belts for a 67 B body, but none came from the factory. The color would be black as white interior cars came with black carpet and seatbelts.
Having the heads checked and surfaced is something that you are going to do regardless of the block condition. So all you are going to lose is a set of gaskets, by trying without pulling the engine. You said that if you pull the engine, that you will discard the the block. So I think you have...
All the 66-67 EE1 cars I have had, there was metallic in the mix. @dan juhasz recently repainted a car he purchased from me, and may have the perfect formula.
After looking closely at my GTX'S and Satellites, they are painted and the GTX'S are a darker argent silver than the Satellites. This follows with other trim items between the 2 models.
