Was running a 280/474 mopar cam but felt I needed a little more. Was 3.55s now 3.91's out back. 9.5" FTI 3400-3600 stall converter. 340 X-heads, victor 340 intake with thermoquad adapter.
Ahh ok! Reason I ask is because I will be running a 292/508 mopar cam in my 360. It's in a dart sport with sort of a Joe dirt look!:D Currently run a thermoquad that was on a drag cuda 440. It has worked good. But plan to find a back up so reason I asked in model #/type.
Hey Idrivemopar, on the 340 thermoquad did you do any mods like primary rods changed or jets front and rear? And mind sharing part # from this particular thermoquad? Thanks!
Did mine in gloss vht chassis black. Factory they were gloss. I found old paint remnants and was surely gloss. However, any black will show nicely i guess it is a matter of preference.
Hey 6PCKRTSE my real question is does one outlast the other or are both about the same in their life expectancy? It's funny I had been looking on ebay @ the rollmaster and one caught my eye which offers nitrided gears. I saved this on my watch list and it started @ 120 bucks and have been...
My 2 cloyes race chains have the name reynold on the links. I did a little research some time ago and it's a French made chain. Supposed to be one the best chains from Europe right up there with IWIS German chains such as the one rollmaster carries.
Oh got those from a member over @ forabodiesonly. Brand new Crane springs and retainers for $75 bucks! Their already swapped on and new valve seals as well.
Just needed some advise before making a decision I would surely regret! You all are very right I'm better off getting something else that's needed in the cam change. ( Going to a bigger cam.)
Ok folks! Recently took apart my smallblock 360. Had installed a cloyes true roller race timing set 12 to 13 years ago. Some driving was hard/harsh you could say. So chain had some slack not alot but some. Some 2 or 3 years ago bought another cloyes exact same one for a low price on ebay so...
Gas is Rat Piss nowadays. But Stabil will help gas from going bad. If leaving car sitting for a year or more its better to have car suspended on jack stands. Battery with a blade type disconnect or tender is a must to keep battery from dying.
