Any exhaust tip hangars? Any evidence of the dual exhaust hangar? All 440, Hemi, and 383 4V cars would have dual exhaust, so the extra hangar would be bolted through 4 dimples on the left side, opposite of where the single exhaust hanger is riveted to. Am I remembering this correctly? If a...
This won't help you with your competition, but maybe it will help you not worry about it. This guy at work has a '31 Ford roadster he inherited. Flat black, red wheels, pie crusts, no fenders or hood, and a Flathead V8. The block cracked, and he spent $4000 on a new motor. Would the car be...
So many places to make mistakes. One thing I notice on Chargers, is that people run the headlight hoses inside the plastic retainers. They route along the top of the wheel well, if that is the right term--the place where the fender tag attaches. They just sit there. Another thing, is that...
For bodywork, I'd only use a MIG, not an FCAW (flux core arc welding). I painted my first car at a night school while earning high school credits, so I had access to all the professional equipment for free, like boot, spray guns, plasma cutters, MIG welders, and all that stuff. I just paid for...
I'm sure I don't understand. Why not buy a mini van, then? Paint the trunk, new trunk mat, then done. My AM doesn't work, so my tunes come from a 440 under the hood, and two tires in the back screaming. Maybe you have something else in mind.
I don't see what the problem is. Chevies look like ****. I got into Mopars because I like the way they look. I've found that their engineering was great, and they were very fast, too. What is in top fuel now. Only the 426 Hemi is competitive, although in aftermarket version, so what do you...
I wouldn't pay $10,000 for it. If the engine compartment was original looking, the top of the grill wasn't fiberglass, the motor was original, that tach and shifter were removed, the interior of the doors was black, and there was a fender tag, $20,000 would be pushing it.
I've seen people use hammers, or something to beat the center plug out of the plastic retainer and break the glass. I use end cutters to grip it and pull it out. Works great for me.
I liked PPG K200 primer for blocking. I've painted my aunt's bug with white Centari, and my Coronet with black Nason with siphon guns. I have two Sata guns now, but haven't used them yet. Should I use two stage paint for now on, or is single stage fine? I guess two stage is easier for...
What I meant was Chrysler put Thermoquads on 318s, so it can't be too big for a 440, and I think 600 is way too small since 750 was the smallest they ever used on them. The secondary door adjustability only helps with bogs. What's wrong with the TQ?
I've got a 600 Edelbrock that the previous owner installed, and threw away the stock 750 AFB that I need to try and find a replacement for now. I've seen them go for as much as $800 on eBay. Idiot. The car, '69 Charger R/T, craps out so early it's ridiculous. Why would someone want 150 CFM...
