I just installed the new power steering pump and pulley but it doesn't line up with the front groove on the drive pulley. Its centered on the front lip of the drive pulley rather than the groove.
Is there a way to adjust it? I tried loosening the bracket bolts but it didn't change much.
Part Number is 121-1072
Purchased this for my 440 rebuild but found the one that came on the engine was restorable.
Paid $24.95 and nearly $20 in shipping cost.
I am asking $30 and will pay for shipping to lower 48 states. It is still in the original box.
Your alternator pulley looks different than the two I have.
Both of mine have a smaller two groove pulley on them.
Makes me wonder if either of them is correct for the car?
Ended up reusing the alternator brackets as the one I ordered from 440 Source didn't fit.
Alternator is installed but I don't have a belt so it's sitting in place.
Order a new power steering pump, not realizing that It didn't come with a cap.
Did the engine have two fan belts installed...
Heads painted, fan and pulley installed. Still waiting for new parts to arrive.
Also, it turns out my Holley 850 is so old that Holley doesn't even list parts for it on their website. I emailed them and they said I had to call and speak to an order specialist. LOL
Heads and rocker shafts installed.
Test fitting the manifold. Ran out of the Turquoise paint so will need to wait a bit before proceeding.
Valve covers are just sitting in place. I have had these in storage for over a decade. Thought now might be a good time to put them to use.
I was able to get the block cleaned up and the crankshaft installed.
Had to stop there because the Rod Bearings I was sent were for a small block and I had to return them to get the correct ones.
Took the Melling High Volume Oil pump apart, cleaned it and installed new O-rings.
The water...
That's normally what I would do but in this case, I cannot afford all the parts for assembly at the moment and didn't want the block to get any surface rust forming.
This engine sat outside on a pallet for a long time before I bought the car, which had been disassembled by a local shop.
Right...
Decided to lightly media blast the block to give it a more consistent surface texture for the Epoxy Primer. Taped off all machined and bearing surfaces.
Then rotated block will spraying with compressed air to remove all media. Wiped down the cylinders and bearing surfaces to remove any dust.
The block had been painted black, orange and blue so it needed to get cleaned up and ready for Epoxy Primer and paint. Noticed that it has a Mellings High Volume Oil Pump on it also.
