    that "new" booster might be good or bad, or years old, as it was on the car when I got it, with the "old" booster in the Trunk. so. guess I might as well plan on buying another "new booster" and drive safely. anyone have suggestions on where/who I can buy from??? stay safe. thanks

    wow. just re-adjusted drums... amazing how many times I have done that, but still forget which way the dirtyword brake tool moves to adjust/tighten up !! Fronts needed more than rears.....but.... test drive, just a little (little) better, still no power brakes. making me think of some...

    I have Drums. Just checked and I do have Vacuum to the dirtyword Booster. Pedal moves downward about 1 1/2 to 2 in before engaged. stay safe. thanks

    today will check vacuum as much as I can (no tools for that). brakes will lock up when I really (really) push hard. so, apparently all I have at this point in time is "manual brakes" and not "power".....but they are not good enough that I would feel safe driving around town. stay safe. thanks

    my shop manual say the master cyl push rod is NOT used, that there is one in the booster that is part of the booster. oh well, at 77 I need all the exercise I can get!! gonna lay down on the job tomorrow and check my brake adjustments on all 4 brakes. stay safe.thanks

    just now checked and the booster does have a vacuum hose from the intake to the booster.

    I know nothing about this booster....except that it is new....I did not install it....and things "hectic" here today I have not checked the vacuum line, etc. the pedal goes down farther than it should before doing anything. as the brakes were totally done (again, before I got it) I will check...

    I was told my 62 had a 360 in it, instead of the 361. got down and dirty and located the block numbers: it is a 318. checked the date: 69. rear diff: 8 3/4. have NOT taken it out yet as I still do not have insurance on it (and today all were closed), nor have I got a Florida Title and Tag...
