Very nice Bee! Due to its early production August 10th build date, that might be why the fender tag didn't have the sunroof code. Probably later-built cars had the M51 code listed.

I'm surprised that the Charger owner is not sure if he wants the motor at this time. Finding numbers matching engines (especially Hemi engines) to one's car is invaluable. If they ever resell the car, the matching numbers engine will really increase the value of the car. To each their own, I guess.

Everything that you said about the 2nd Gen Chargers and your other valid points also hold true for the E body Barracudas and Challengers of '70 and '71 which I put those years in parentheses in my comment. The '70 and '71 E-bodies were produced for only two years...

I find it hard to believe how the 2nd generation Chargers have really skyrocketed in value. Makes one wonder if the sellers are getting these high asking prices. Now, a person can buy a very nice E body ('70-'71) for the price that some '68-'70 Chargers' owners are asking. I love all Mopars but...

Good point, Davefinan. I heard many years ago that Plymouth had to build 1 (or 2) Superbirds per dealerships in the U.S. for the car to be eligible for NASCAR but don't quote me on that.
