I'm to honest sometimes and expect the same. That's why I'm where I am with this.
Hopefully karma will even it out.
Is there a way to tell a 68 or 69 dash.
No fender tag. It's a charger. The last six of vin do not match the six on body. When I made the deal I looked at title that said 69 dodge and verified the vin on dash matched the title. I only now looked at the body numbers when the title came back as a 68. As I said I talked with the DMV...
It's the sixth digit of VIN. The DMV from the state I bought it from said that vin registers to a 69 as far back as they can search. The 8 in the vin makes it a 68. I verified the title to the vin which was a match.
Sorry if I'm talking in circles. I'm at work tonight and don't have any pics.
Car title said 1969 and vin on title matched the dash. When new title came back said 1968. That of course is when I knew there was something not right. Called state it was titled in and they said that vin registers to...
Car was titled a 69 and the vin matched title. Vin does not match body. Both radiator support and trunk lip match . DMV where title came from said it was always titled a 69 from as far back as they can see records. Would have never noticed till title came back a 68 in my state
Can a vin be obtained from just the numbers from trunk and radiator mount. From what I understand there a sequence number so I imagine there is not two of the same.
