sorry i have to disagree the duramax is a great engine and runs very well with little problems, besides the first couple years that came out with the inejctor issues that were mentioned already. the small allison transmissions arent that great, there just like all the other newer trans handles...
just want to add, my alignment guy does alot of race cars, and when i mentioned reilly motorsports he said it was the best suspension upgrade for a mopar, very well designed and easy to put together.
hey guys im really starting to cut into my 69 coronet you know fixing all the usual problems, i got the typical rust on the floor and quarter but i had what looked like a crack in the frame on the passenger side and i cleaned it away and its a rust hole but i cut the hole out and i started to...
if your going to use an internal seal, i would try blue devil, i had a truck come into the shop which what looked to be a half inch hole where the head meets the block pouring coolant out. well my boss heard of this stuff and we tried it, crazy thing is, it worked and has been holding for 3-4...

hey guys wondering what differences are there in the 2 and 4 door coronets for 69? like is the front end all the same? quarter differences? glass differences? besides the obvious.
honestly that would be great if you could do that, plus im curious what kind of tail panels came on the 69's? because on my car theres 2 holes in the center and the tail lights.
hey guys new here maybe some of you have seen my thread in the general section, anyways heres my question maybe its been asked before or whatever but i want my own answers, i just got a 69 coronet most of its there except for the frontend like grill hood things like that, and the interior is...
oh hes right about that. the pickups are like 3 hours to do the belt but the vans are so tight i wouldnt doubt its 8 hours, those engines are just a nightmare to work on, with just about everything.
the trans overhaul really isnt too hard, just need to be careful and pay attention to what your taking apart, 98% of the time the clutches are destroyed.
well originally i wanted to resto mod it, goals were to have a street car looked near stock besides for the wheels that ran 9's. but its a big car and i kinda want to restore it and have a fun street car that can run on pump, make it look awesome with the right stance and all. but we will see...
hey guys whats going on, my names pete and i finally got myself an old muscle car, a mopar at that. ever since i was a young kid probably like 12-13 years old ive wanted to restore or just build a car, and it just so happen that i loved 69 chargers more so than other cars. fast forward to now...
