    Thanks for sharing that epic tale of survival. They will always be the greatest generation. My Father in law passed last year at the age of 97. He was in the army and served in intelligence in Britain during WWII. Even in his last years felt guilt because he knew so many that did not come home.

    Good to know someone else had reverse wo engaging the brake. We have never ran a turbo action brake. Still running a cheetah reverse manual and a j convertor from Turbo action.

    I never heard of a brake that you can run in drive and still shifts and a forward pattern?? I wonder if the original valve body has been replaced because that looks like it is from Joe Chrisman whose company was TranZact of indy. He has been out of business for a while. He is the only one I know...

    From my seat today. My brother is in the scraper tractor. I am happy to be running the D8H today instead of working on it. 1246 cubic inches is bit loud w a 8" pipe.

    Are you holding the carb butterflies open while you are doing your compression test? Wore out timing chain or retarded cam timing can cause low compression.
