There was another guy on here I posted on a while back but never got to taking pictures..not sure if it’s the same for yours, but in my 67 charger with a 727 auto I mounted a quicksilver to the existing shifter linkage. Didn’t use the cable and it sits right in the factory plate. Just bent up a...
Thanks guys! I can’t seem to find exactly where it’s leaking from. But either way I think I’ll just do the swap. And it seems like just biting the bullet and getting the complete kit is the way to go. Thanks!
Looking into doing the upgrade. 67 charger, 383, 727. Everything is stock as far as I know. Mine is leaking so I figured if I’m pulling it might as well look into upgrading. Not for any other reason than I’ve read posts about it and people say it’s good.
Can I just buy the Borgeson steering...
Put an auto city classic 26” in my 383 67 charger this summer. It works amazing. Went straight in no issues. I have the mechanical fan and no shroud and it stays cool for as long as I want to drive it. Granted, it replaced the original, but it runs like a completely different car now.
Mine’s a daily driver when there’s no salt on the ground. Constantly getting pelted by crap so I did it the cheap easy repeatable way haha. just took a little brush and a little can of matte black paint and spent 30 minutes painting in between each rib. Looks great unless you put your forehead...
I think I have my originals around here somewhere that I’d sell if you’re interested in that type of thing. Obviously not going to be perfect. I shaved my doors so I won’t be needing them haha.
Good ground on the regulator? Generally heat/smoke is resistance no? I’d run a ground line directly to it from the battery and see what happens.
…but then again I come here a lot a with questions because I don’t know what I’m doing . So you might not want to listen to me
I’m sure there are but I don’t personally know of any Mopar clubs. We do have Quaker city raceway/drag strip so that’s a good idea I didn’t think about, thanks!
Thanks everyone so much for your input and help! I’m going to start going back through all this and logging options that have been stated, and then start to study and learn about what you’re talking about and see what option works best for me.
Just needed somewhere to start and as always...
Money’s not really an issue on a nice setup, but I’m also not going to drop 30k on a car that’s not worth it either haha. I’m a nobody in the middle of nowhere and the only one that will appreciate it. So I just want something fun and reliable
I’ve been driving this engine for a few years now and it gets me where I’m going, but I haven’t driven any other comparable cars to know if it’s normal. Like I said earlier, it just seems to be off. I had a new srt challenger but I don’t think they’re very comparable haha.
I have been starting...
I have a fsm and have read through it. I must have skipped over the section where it talks about pros and cons of rebuilding your current engine vs replacing it for various reasons. I’ll check it out again, thanks!
Yeah I figure most people have their preferences and there’s more than one way to do it. Just want to make sure I don’t do anything stupid. Or have to do any kind of crazy mods to the chassis to make things work.
Mainly want to at least pull and rebuild because I feel like something’s not right with it. I don’t know who did the work or if they did a good job, but just don’t have confidence in it. Again, I don’t know why exactly, but just driving it and hearing it seems something’s off. And a fresh paint...
