Thanks for the link. What threw me off is a restored green one for sale that had the underside of the hood blackened. After a little bit of sanding, i'm 100% certain the underside of the hood was body color. Now...about that top of the cowl. Still wondering about that part.
right...just want to blacken tbe areas the factory blackened.
My 72 has it on the rad support and on the corners of the cowl. The 74 I'm working on has the entire underside of the hood in black. Wanted to be sure that wasn't done by the factory before i go sanding it off.
Also wanted to know...
Can anyone here tell me which underhood areas were shot with Organisol on a 74 Charger hatdtop?
I'll assume front of rad support, but did the whole top of the cowl and undeside of hood receive this treatmemt?
I do not have the assembly manual to show the locations.
Can anyone here tell me if a 65 Belvedere V8 K-member will interchange (without modification) on a 66 Coronet? The Coronet currently has no front suspension and i'd like to get it to roll.
I appreciate your help on this. By looking at it, i thought the inner sleeve rotated inside the cup washers, which led me to think it and the rubber was binding as i torqued it down. With all the poor part fitment and quality i've been experiencing in the past few years, i wasn't sure if it...
The Moog only provides the inner sleeve. I ordered a Mevotech idler arm since the stock photo showed a cup washer similar to the original, but i'd at least like to figure this out. More than likely i'm not understanding something.
i just encountered this exact issue today. Are you saying the cup washer is removable from the original? I was about to pty on mine but wasn't sure how to proceed without ruining it.
I installed a Moog idler arm to replace the blown out original on my 72 Charger. Torque spec per shop manual is 65 lbft, but if i tighten it anywhere beyond 20 lbft, the arm gets tight in the housing and wont move freely. The Moog design is not like the original (surprise, surprise) in that it...
My retainer ring on my 72 Charger broke and the one on my 74 is completely missing. I tried researching for one on the net but got back every result except what i was looking for. Does anyone here know where i can get this retainer that holds the drain tube in place? Thanks.
