Organisol locations on a 74 Charger

Thanks for the link. What threw me off is a restored green one for sale that had the underside of the hood blackened. After a little bit of sanding, i'm 100% certain the underside of the hood was body color. Now...about that top of the cowl. Still wondering about that part.

Organisol locations on a 74 Charger

right...just want to blacken tbe areas the factory blackened. My 72 has it on the rad support and on the corners of the cowl. The 74 I'm working on has the entire underside of the hood in black. Wanted to be sure that wasn't done by the factory before i go sanding it off. Also wanted to know...

Can anyone here tell me if a 65 Belvedere V8 K-member will interchange (without modification) on a 66 Coronet? The Coronet currently has no front suspension and i'd like to get it to roll.

    idler arm moog

I appreciate your help on this. By looking at it, i thought the inner sleeve rotated inside the cup washers, which led me to think it and the rubber was binding as i torqued it down. With all the poor part fitment and quality i've been experiencing in the past few years, i wasn't sure if it...

    idler arm moog

pics of the original cup washer next to the Moog arm. Inner diameter of washer is the same as the diameter of the Moog inner sleeve.

    idler arm moog

The Moog only provides the inner sleeve. I ordered a Mevotech idler arm since the stock photo showed a cup washer similar to the original, but i'd at least like to figure this out. More than likely i'm not understanding something.

    Idler arm advice

I was able to remove it the other day but found that the part of the cup washer that fits inside the thru bolt shaft is too wide for the Moog part.

    idler arm moog

problem is the sleeve doesn't extend past the rubber. anything over 20lbft and the rubber starts binding

    idler arm moog

they do...but it doesn't cover the top of the rubber...so the rubber still compresses

    idler arm moog

I installed a Moog idler arm to replace the blown out original on my 72 Charger. Torque spec per shop manual is 65 lbft, but if i tighten it anywhere beyond 20 lbft, the arm gets tight in the housing and wont move freely. The Moog design is not like the original (surprise, surprise) in that it...
