Hi there. We are trying to fix the fuel and speedo needles to glow when lights are on. The needles spark, burning the orange color but wont light on. Any help would be really appreciated. Please see attached pic

mine sparks when we connect the socket to it. seems that some needle paint is burnt.

Has anyone tried to fix their needles? Not glowing currently. Much appreciated if someone can shed some light. The fuel and speedo needle kinda smoked a little when we tested the gauges with the rebuilt power pack. so we disconnected them to try to fix.
