Funny you say that. My brother had fenderwell headers on his 66 dart with 24” body glass packs. One of my buddies at the track said it sounded like a pack of Harley’s racing. It sounded cool, but in an unusual way.

That side molding likely has screws or rivets holding it on, at least partially. I wouldn’t monkey with it unless you plan to do a full repaint

I have little windshield experience outside of pulling good glass from parts cars but I’ll chime in with my observations. I put a used windshield and gasket in my 68 barracuda. I installed the gasket and tried the bottom up method of working the glass into the gasket, no joy. I had about 6” of...
I hate to say, but looking at your pics I’d say you have the offset bushings installed opposite of what you want. The forward bushing should have the bolt hole toward the inside of the car and the rear should have the bolt hole toward the outside of the car. Your arrows should indicate the...
Yes, standard hood. Never was high falootin’ enough for air grabbers or scoops of any sort. Given the giant oval recess for the air filter assy, it might be ok there too, just dunno. It certainly is handy not having to monkey with the hood though.

If you’re talking about my swivel hook, it’s just a Crosby brand swivel rigging hook that I installed at the end of my cherry picker arm in place of the typical chain with hook. I then bolt a chain to the engine front to back diagonally across the intake and keep it tight to the intake, just...
Awesome. That looks more surgical than any engine install I’ve ever done. I think I’d be pretty careful with that car too. Although my swivel hook on my cherry picker lets me do engines without hood removal, trans n all.

Very cool car, factree 383/4 speed is killer. I am a huge fan of green cars and I don’t think I have ever seen a dark green gen 1 charger. That color makes that car look fantastic.

Another good carb to use is a motorcraft 2 barrel from late 60s early 70s 289/302. They have small butterflies and only about a dozen moving parts. They do require an adapter to bolt on, but they work well Offroad.

Ah, you stayed in Canada. The wife and I drove to dead horse Alaska (prudhoe bay) in ‘08. Alaska has a cool sign at the arctic circle for a photo op.

100% truth right there. I was welding on a garbage truck on an area that was 2 layers thick. I had cleaned up the area with brakleen. The area between the layers hadn’t dried and started putting out some terrible smelling fumes. I was in a very ventilated area, but had to get the welding smoke...
I was real close to buying a new pick-up in 93. I drove pretty much all of the v8 trucks with manuals and a few that were auto. I even drove a 5.9 ramcharger LE. Those dakotas ran good. In the end I chickened out on the debt and stuck with my old stuff for another decade plus.
