I used Ballistic SSBK and like the black foil and like it. I was also concerned about an asphalt smell. I molded rubber for 40 years and all elastomers are not created equal. It is very possible to add fillers to cheapen the product and what I was worried about with the less expensive products...
Yes, it is a mess. Luckily, my vent glass from ECS was ok. I never did update this and will now. The Qtr glass was too tall by 1/4". My solution was to cut the arm of the regulator by 1/4" and weld back together. This is the arm that connects to the pivot bushing on the glass frame. Did that...
69_Coronet makes an excellent point. I molded urethane for decades and using the proper grease is critical. Certain urethanes are compatible with mineral grease but I suspect this type of urethane is NOT. As stated, the white sticky grease is silicone based is what you want to use for these...
I gave up and found new cylinders. Kind of a waste, but oh well. The new front cylinders are close, but use a different outer dust seal. The original ones used a dust seal that had a metal ring molded in and press fitted on the cylinder. The new cylinder's dust seal is like the rear's. Stretch...
So the verdict is......The AMD qtr glass is too tall. Charles was a tremendous help and measured his original qtr glass. Comparing his to the new AMD piece, the new glass was consistently 1/4"+ taller. Only a 1/4", but it is that last 1/4" rise where the regulator moves mostly forward and only a...
Perfect and thanks. I may be barking up the wrong tree, but just have to check for everything that can go wrong. I did find the part number for the frame and that is correct. All the other parts match the mounting holes with no issue. The regulator looks to be the same as what I have seen, but...
I had hoped it was the adjustments, but not sure. The glass hits the rubber seal above and cannot go up any further. And it needs to move at least 3/4" forward to look like yours. You can tell it needs to up more because of the emblem on the glass. If I could get the regulator go up more, it...
I am replacing the door and QTR glass on my '70 RR hardtop. The AMD door glass fit ok. The AMD QTR glass not too good. Granted, the qtr window mechanicals were in a bag when i bought the car, but it was all there. I have looked at countless pictures and videos and am sure I have the mechanicals...
New bumpers made my RR decklid sit high on one side and low on the other. The high side, I sanded the bumper with a 400 grit disc until it was correct. The low side I added a piece of EPDM rubber and cut to shape. Super glue bonds rubber very easily.
Looking for the other end of this angled two wire connection. I connects the back up switch wire coming from the transmission to the bulk head. Will buy both connectors if needed.
Thank you,
Not sure where to post this. Brand new in the box and never been used. I am asking just $30 which includes US shipping. It is a giveaway price and have no use for this tool. Great for Autobody.
Thanks.

I bought a similar kit but only had (5) of the straps. Attached is the picture I am going by and isn't mine.
(3) hold the washer tube, (1) is for the engine harness going to the bottle and horn on the right side and (1) on the left side for the positive battery cable at the shock tower. Are we...
Trying to figure out a couple of holes that are in my engine bay. '70 Roadrunner - 440+6, 4 speed. See two attached pics.
1) In the first pic, the hole in question (orange circle) is between the two well know wire harness straps. This spot is hidden in all engine bay pics by the battery.
2)...
The glass was obviously incorrect when it landed on my shelf four years ago. I had some glass that was from another car and was tinted, so I couldn't use it. But I compared the new glass to tinted ones and mainly focused on the outer shape not so much the curvature. My mistake there I guess...
