Actually, after looking at the location on a '67 Coronet, it looks like the inner bumper bracket holes are shared by the guards. Either way, once the bracket-to-frame bolts are removed, fender support arms and turn signals are disconnected, it should come out.

Hi diesel_lv, The '66 bumper guards attach to the bumper itself, independent of the bumper brackets. They can remain installed during bumper removal. Cheers! Tom
