I added the Summit house brant to my Coronet front and rear. It completely changed the ride of the car. I would also highly recommend QA-1 tubular upper control arms and adjustable shock.
Do you still have window regulators? I need a driver side in good condition since mine is very loose at the handle. The car is a two door 1967 Coronet 440. Thank you.
I have been putting up with a loose door glass crank handle for a long time. Mainly because I have been fixing other mechanical issues. I am finally at the point where I can address this annoying problem. Below is a video of the issue. Is this something that’s repairable if I remove the...
Band adjustment would be a good idea if you have not checked that. I also have the Lokar throttle and kickdown cable system and had to add a spring at the transmission lever to return it all the way. I am including some links below that helped me when dealing with my 727 issues...
Can someone provide me with the measurements to locate/install the fender mounted turn signal indicators? I recently purchased some and would like to install on my 67 Coronet. Thank you
Awe man! Just what I was looking for recently. Unfortunately I just committed myself to a big party for my daughter and cannot make the expense now. Rare part.
Should the idle mixture screws on a edelbrock carb be adjusted with car in park or drive ? I am using a vacuum gauge to adjust for highest vacuum reading. Car is a 67 coronet with 318 and automatic 727.
I FOUND THE PROBLEM (i think)!!!
After still not getting spark from the cap to wires as I mentioned yesterday, I began to look at the Pertronix system. The black piece that sits under the rotor has a missing magnet that fell out, I'm guessing through centrifugal force. No sign of it rubbing...
Well, went outside to take advantage of the dark setting to test it. When I pulled the first wires from the cap I could clearly see the blue spark, same with the following two. However the third and fourth I pulled had no spark at all. Guess I am back to an ignition issue. I did do the...
Thank you.
In an attempt to eliminate all potential issues I would like to verify something. If I run the engine and remove the ignition wires one by one from the distributor cap while its on. Should there be a spark present on each one as separate it from the cap?
Thanks for the quick responses everyone. I will try to answer all questions. I did inspect the spark plugs when I did the compression check. A little dirty they cleaned up fine. I will inspect the fuel filter and take a look at all the hoses for a possible vacuum leak using carb cleaner. I...
On the way back from a car show yesterday I noticed the car had a slight hesitation and engine shake. I pulled off the highway and it felt like a bad misfire. This morning I replaced the distributor cap, ignition wires and checked the coil. I don’t think it is a misfire. The engine starts...
Update on this issue.
First to answer a few questions in the previous comments. The car is a 1967 coronet 440 with 318 and 727. The fuel tank is new and was installed about a year ago at the same time the sender was.
I went under the car and added a proper ground strap from fuel line to...
I have some problems with my fuel gauge reading correctly, and have finally decided to take care of this annoying issue. It is an aftermarket sender and original fuel gauge. Knowing that the new senders do not really send correct ohm readings I added a meter match to help.
My issue is that...
Attached are two videos of the findings after removing the intermediate shaft and bushing. Both the bronze bushing and slot in intermediate shaft gear had some wear on them. I have not checked to see if this solved the timing mark jumping around. However when driving today on the highway it...
