I agree with Charlie Brown. Get an appraisal. Yes, you'll spend 150.00 or so, but you'll be protected in the event your car burns up, gets stolen, is involved in an accident, etc. These old car parts are very hard to find at any price.
You needn't go to all the work of checking codes, etc. The correct block color for a 66 383 or 440 is the turquoise. I have it on my 66 coronet. You can look at it on the pics of my car "007dodgeboy"
I have a 493 stroker engine, built with 440 stroker components, 10:1 ross flat top pistons, comp XH high energy camp, When engine is cold, very noisy, almost like a lifter is not seating properly. Noise disappears substantially when engine is at operating temp & has been driven some. Wondering...

Just replaced my old steering box with a new on my 1966 dodge coronet from BAP. Steering is now very touchy. No play at all. Is there a way to loosen this a bit? I've heard this can be an alignment isse as well. Any thougts or shared experience would be appreciated. I'm a new member to the group.
