Protect the red paint with "Diamond clear", satin semi-gloss. (Eastwood sells it) The shade of the red colour was supposed to match the turned off back lenses.
Try to find a spray can of the original Mopar QQ1, dark red poly (or similar) Then coat it with semi gloss lacquer. If You remove the old paint You have to use some primer first.
Go with bolts, bigger washers and lock nuts, it's complete safe. The only reason they used those studs where a faster mounting on the assambly line. (seconds=money)
I had a 66-Belvedere II that I bought in 1968. It was sold new here in Sweden,(means export car) Body color was black, but trunk was that Tree Tone Splatter paint.
This is my current Project. I've just passed 70, so it's kind of a therapy (lol) I have no hurry,so it gonna take some time. There is more pics in my album "Belvedere"
Waiting for parts, so my Project is on ice. Spended the waiting on make my own version of a rear defroster unit. The fan is in the center box, instead of original right corner. Mine sucks the air from both inside corners and I hope that will make good circulation over the whole area.
Yeah,I'm inclined to Think that is the answer.maybe they didn't care about those exports to a small land far, far away (lol) Anyway,He is not going for strict original,so it does not matter.
Thanks all of you for your commitments
I'm not talking about the molding on C-pillar,it exist. It is the small medallion that never was mounted because there isn't and have never been holes there. Sorry if I mixed it up.
